To us it implies that both our company and our district partners bring wisdom to the table. We are seeking a talented Technology Systems Specialist to help take this team to the next level.

What you will be doing:

The on-site Technology Systems Specialist will join the talented team at the Allegheny Valley School District. As the Technology Systems Specialist, you will coordinate, install, and maintain the efficient and effective functioning of the hardware, software, and network systems within the district. Working with the Supervisor of Technology, the Technology Systems Specialist will support academic and administrative technology systems and support the integration of technology at all levels.

Essential Functions:

• Administer, install, and maintain the network and server infrastructure.
• Support and maintain the District's Student Information System.
• Support and maintain other various information data systems.
• Assist in planning and coordinating technology integration.
• Provide tier 1, 2, and 3 support to staff and students.
• Ability to investigate and troubleshoot technical problems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Four-year degree in Information Systems Technology or four years' experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of data, video, and voice network hardware and systems.
• Knowledge of security systems including Firewalls, VPN, LAN.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, strong time management skills and the ability to “triage” issues.
• Ability to function collaboratively in a team setting.
• Experience with Active Directory, Google Workspace Administration and Apps, Apple, MacOS, Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012 , Chrome ODS, iOS/iPadOS, Meraki Networks, Cisco Networks - desired experience.
• Training or certification in IT related subjects preferred. (ex: CCNA, Network , PGWA)
• Exceptional organizational and record keeping skills.
• Must be self-directed and able to take initiative,
• Must be able to successfully pass multiple criminal background checks and clearances.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent travel between school district offices, buildings, classrooms and facilities.
• Sitting or standing for extended periods.
• Moderate lifting up to 30 pounds.
